Step 1 - Making The Screens:

The automatic streching machine giving an evenly stretched, extremely tight screens. Every screen checked by a digital strechingmeter to make sure the tightness & balance are fine.

Step 2 - Artwork Preperation, Color Seperation & Film Output.

After getting approval for the digital previews of being printed merchandise, artworks sent to color seperation & film output.

Step 3: Screen Posing

Screens are posed by negatives of seperated color films with vacuuming XL posing machine and washing after completing of posing. Afterwards screens are leaving to get dryed in a special drying cabinet providing air and a temperature of 30 degrees celcius.

Step 4: Manual Screen Test & Demo Print Run

After checking the screens visually, the performance of the completed screens will be tested on a demo run.. This process providing completed or fabric samples for those who would like to see the demo printing results before starting the main run. This process allowing the ink pantone matching system (P.M.S) for color matching of the prints. The formula of the pantone inks are recorded for the future runs.

If there is an approval of the client required before the main printing, the samples will sent for examination. In this case screens getting cleaned and kept under fixed temperature store until they are ready to take their seat & working place in the auto press.

Step 5: Final Print Run

Auto Press setting up with screens, macro and micro registrations completed and some demo prints getting made. The fabrics to be printed gets placed near the loading sector. Conveyor dryer already started in order to reach the curing temperature depending on the ink, garment type, color.

After achieving the expected print quality on the fabric which comes from the converyor dryer, printing starts

The ongoing printing process will be watched and controlled by 2 to 4 engineers depending on the job, against any error or loading sector or machine mistakes.

Fabrics being final cured after printing and collected to be sent to complete sewing of the finished product. We mostly printing everything before they are completely sewed. Printing fabrics partially and than sewing them to the complete product provides more room for customizing, better quality & faster printing.

Foil applied by printing a special foil glue on the fabric first, The glue area is the exact foil printing artwork pattern which will stick to the foil paper.

picture

Glue applied fabrics sent to the hot press with the foil paper on the surface. After hot press releases the fabric, they are leaving until they cool down. The Foil paper removed from the fabric. Tthe glue printed pattern (artwork) area stays with foil where clean areas don't.

We do not use some transfer print type heat press for foil applications. We experienced they will probably cause signs / fades on the dark fabrics. In addition to that not a great foil application quality at all.

Choosing your Inks

Water Based Inks

Water-based inks are a good choice when a “soft hand” is desirable. A very soft hand feel of the printing is the condition where the ink film cannot easily be felt with the hand when passed across the surface of the fabric. This affect is often used as an argument for why water-based is preferable to plastisol as plastisol has more of a hand than water-based. Water-based ink also has the advantage of being an excellent ink system for high speed roll-to-roll yardage printing. Such printing is done on large sophisticated equipment that has very large drying (curing) capacity. Water Based prints can be ironed unless they are combined with plastisol or discharged plastisol "plasticharge".

Plastisol Inks:

Plastisol Inks are one of the most widely used ink types for all times in garment screen printing. They are easy to work with, match color and cure. The wash ability of printed garments, if cured well is excellent. Garments printed with plastisol are cured around 160 degrees Celsius within the conveyor dryer.

Since Plastisol is a thermoplastic, it will melt if it comes in contact with anything hot enough. For that reason, plastisol prints cannot be ironed.

Plastisol ink also creates an ink film that can be felt with the hand. The higher the opacity of the ink gets, the greater the hand feel. This heavy hand is considered a disadvantage at the consumer level however, printing artworks can be managed to separate in different ways, and inks can be adjusted for minimizing this ink film thickness.

The most cost effective way for printing.
